Dr. Aithal K. R. has rich experience of teaching law for more than three decades. He has specialized in the areas of Public Law, Jurisprudence, Intellectual Property Law, Human Rights Law and Judicial Process. After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Law from Mysore University, he started teaching Law at M Krishna Law College, Hassan in 1982. He joined the Post Graduate Department of Studies in Law, Karnataka University Dharwad on 18th April 1988 as a Lecturer and became Professor of Law in 2006. He retired from the Karnataka University Services on 31st January 2016 and joined Alliance School of Law as a Professor on 4th February 2016.

Prof. Aithal K. R. as a Researcher in Law has published a book titled "Protection and Enforcement of Human Rights in India" – (published by the Department of Distance Education, National Law School of India University, Bangalore). He has also published more than 25 research articles in international and national law journals and legal periodicals. He has successfully guided 11 candidates for their Ph.D. degrees in topics of contemporary relevance and is currently guiding 5 candidates. He has also guided more than 5 candidates for their M.Phil. degrees.

Prof. Aithal K. R. was awarded a doctoral degree in Law from Mysore University for a dissertation on "Judicial Enforcement of Positive Rights: Case of the Right to Food, Shelter, Livelihood, Work and Education". He has also undertaken UGC sponsored research projects and the result of one of his research projects is shortly going to be published in the form of a book- "Law and Food Security in India".

He has attended not less than 90 national and international conferences, seminars and workshops as a participant and also as a resource person. As the Chairman of the Post Graduate Department of Studies in Law, Karnataka University, Dharwad, he has organized several conferences, seminars, workshops and symposia on the subject of contemporary application. As Principal of the University College Law, Karnatak University, Dharwad, he has organized several moot court competitions of which the "Sri SC Javali National Moot Court Competition" is noteworthy.

Prof. Aithal K. R. has worked in various capacities in Karnatak University including Acting Vice-Chancellor for a brief period. He has rich experience as an educational administrator as he was the Registrar (Evaluation) Karnatak University and he was also the Dean, Faculty of Law for two terms. He was also Dean, Faculty of Law for a term of two years in Kuvempu University. He was a member of the Karnatak University Syndicate and Academic Council. He has contributed greatly to curriculum development in various law subjects by being a member of the Board of Studies of Karnatak University and several other universities in South India.

He is currently Professor of Law at Alliance School of Law and his areas of interest for research include Public Law and Law and Justice in a Globalizing World.

Prof. Suresh B. is a graduate in business management and law. Prof. Suresh has completed his Master's in Business Administration.

Prof. Suresh has five years experience in the corporate world and over thirteen years' experience in teaching. A much sought-after trainer, Prof. Suresh has conducted a number of training programs for corporations, non-governmental organizations and public-private-partnership initiatives.

Areas of Interest: Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Business Law, Employee Relations Managements.

Dr. Kalicharan M. L. holds an LLM degree in Constitutional Law and is a Ph.D. from the University of Mysore. He is a Law Graduate from Sharada Vilas Law College, Mysore. He holds an M.B.A. degree from KSOU, Mysore, M.F.T. from Pondicherry University, and M.A. (Human Rights) from the University of Madras.  He has taught civil and criminal procedural laws and Drafting Pleading and Conveyancing and held administrative positions in colleges and universities. He has  practicing experience in the High Court of Karnataka.

Prof. Aisha specialises in Air and Space Law. Her academic and research interests include commercial arbitration, investment arbitration, corporate governance, human rights, legal education and International Humanitarian Law.

Prior to joining Alliance School of Law, Prof. Aisha was associated with the Ford Foundation Chair for Human Rights and Citizenship Studies as Research Assistant at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) since 2013. She taught courses on Law and Child, Rights of Minorities, Violation of Human Rights and their impact upon India etc. She has also assisted in preparing case materials and framing curriculum outline for the subjects taught by her. She was also engaged in taking lectures for Post Graduate Diploma Program of Air and Space Law and Human Rights. She has participated in the organization of various seminars and talks on relevant law topics.

Before joining academics, she was a practicing advocate for one year before various forums including the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Delhi. She had the opportunity of working on matters in diverse areas including constitutional law, administrative law, contract law, company law, arbitration law, and matrimonial law.

At Alliance School of Law, she is currently serving as a member of the Examination Committee and an evaluator of the Surana National Essay Competition.

Prof. Ishani Das is an assistant professor at Alliance School of Law, Bangalore. Before joining Alliance, she was working as a research assistant in NUJS, Kolkata. Prior to her experiences as an academician, she practiced as an advocate before the High Court of Delhi and High Court at Calcutta. As an advocate, she mainly worked on dispute resolutions both conventional and alternate in matters related to property disputes, companies and IP.

She completed her post-graduation (LLM) from Queen Mary, University of London with a full scholarship. As a student ambassador at Queen Mary, she had the opportunity to assist various barristers practicing in the field of international arbitration and extradition laws. She holds a graduation degree in B.A.LL.B (Hons) from KIIT Law School, Bhubaneswar. After graduation, she was working in a corporate law firm in Calcutta before leaving for London. Her interest lies in public laws and alternate dispute resolution.

Dr. Karanam Nagaraja Rao is a Ph.D. in Management Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He worked for more than two decades in different capacities in LIC of India and also worked as State Operations Manager in charge of Karnataka in Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company for four years before joining academics. He worked for one year (2009-10) as faculty at Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Ahmedabad and in 2011 joined Alliance University.

As his Post-Graduation is in Political Science, Doctorate from the faculty of Management Science, Profession by Insurance and inquisitiveness in spiritualism, his areas of interest in research and teaching include Constitutional Studies, Insurance and Risk Management, General Management areas such as Entrepreneurship, Ethics, and Spirituality in Management Studies. He is currently teaching Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics to the MBA students and Indian Constitution to BBM students. Apart from that he is teaching Insurance and Risk Management for Commerce students.

He has to his credit more than 40 articles in national and international journals on topics related to Marketing, Insurance, Entrepreneurship, Ethics and Spirituality in Management. He has undergone Faculty Development Program from EDI and designed a couple of programs for MBA (Entrepreneurship) Specialization.

He did his Yoga (Instructor Course) from S. Vyasa University, Bangalore in 2015. He completed 'Advanced Vedanta Course' from Chinmaya International Foundation in 2012. As a matter of academic interest completed four levels of Sanskrit examinations including 'Kovida' from Samskrita Bharathi, Bangalore in 2015.

He is passionate in writing poems in English and Telugu and an avid reader of classical literature. Some of his Telugu articles are published in the Telugu magazines.

His books include "Principles and Practice of Risk and Insurance" (Novelty & Co Publishers) and "Smiling Sinews"- a book of jokes which is under publication. Having made a humble beginning (in the year 1996) as a lecturer in English, Prof. Acharya moved on to be the Head of the Department in some of the organizations she served. Prof. Rahul Mishra graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (H.P) in 2007. Thereafter he obtained an LL.M degree (2 years) in Corporate Laws with special reference to International Business in the year 2009 from NALSAR University of Law, Justice City, Hyderabad. He also obtained  a Master’s degree in English Literature (2004) from the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla (H.P) before studying Law. His dissertation titled “GATS and Liberalization of Legal Services: Comparative Analysis in between US, UK and India” was adjudged the best comprehensive, analytical and thought provoking research ever done on the topic which helped him top the final semester examination of  his post-graduation (2007-2009). He has also been adjudged the best presenter during numerous international/national seminars. He has as of now eight national/international paper presentations to his credit. He has also near about 15 papers publications in peer reviewed indexed journals. He has also adjudged preliminary rounds of prestigious National Moot Court Competitions in the past. He has teaching experience of six and a half years. He has previously been with NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad as well as AMITY University (AUR) Rajasthan as a faculty member.

Prof. Sajal Sharma holds an LL.M degree in Intellectual Property Laws from the Department of Law, University of North Bengal. Has been teaching for the last three years. He has taught IPR, Company Law, Corporate Governance and Labour Laws.

He worked as Taxation, Treasury, Finance, Accounts and Management Information Systems Manager in the corporate sector and as a consultant with various corporate entities, and as a corporate trainer and coordinator. Prof. Shyam Kishore V. holds an LLM degree in Corporate and Financial Services Law from the National University of Singapore. He graduated in law with from the School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, Kerala. He taught corporate and commercial laws in India for many years; besides, he also practiced as a foreign legal adviser in a reputed corporate law firm in Singapore.

He has participated in many international and national moot court competitions and authored many research articles that have been published in national and international law journals. He is currently pursuing his doctorate at the University of Madras, Chennai. Prof. Shyam Kishore graduated with second rank in law with from the School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University in Kottayam, Kerala. He holds an LLM degree in Corporate and Financial Services Law from the National University of Singapore. He is currently pursuing his doctoral research in the area of protection of minority shareholder interests from the University of Madras, Chennai. Prior to entering the academic profession he practiced law as a foreign legal adviser in Singapore in two reputed law firms namely, Rajah & Tann LLP and Arfat Selvam Alliance LLC from June 2008 to May 2009. He subsequently joined KIIT School of Law, KIIT University in May 2009 and joined Alliance School of Law in August 2012 as part of its’ founding faculty. Prof. Shyam Kishore has been primarily teaching corporate and commercial laws for many years. He specialises on the area of the law of corporate governance and has been responsible for the designing of courses on corporate governance and other areas of corporate law both at the graduate and undergraduate level in more than one university in the country.

Besides he has also authored research papers that have been published in national and international journals. He has been invited as a resource person in various conferences. He has also visited other Universities as a guest faculty to deliver lectures on corporate and contract laws. He was also invited by many Universities to judge various National Moot Court Competitions.

Dr. Smitha Nizar holds a Doctorate in Law awarded by NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, India. She is a UGC NET and JRF qualified scholar and academician. She was the recipient of the gold medal from Mahatma Gandhi University for her LL. M degree with specialization in the Law of Crimes and Torts. She has a Postgraduate specialization in Public Policy. Prior to joining academics she was a practicing lawyer at the High Court of Kerala for four years.

She has a number of scholarly publications in peer reviewed reputed journals. She is a research scholar in the area of disability rights and human rights. Her research in the area of legality of disability selective abortion is the first study in the world after the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2006.
